Overview
Gates and terminal posts are edited after you draw fence sections. Gate types come from the active fence template.
Where in the app: Designer → Fence tab → Drawing Tools
Open: Estimates
Terminal posts
Each click while drawing Draw Fence Section places a terminal post (end, corner, or intersection). Line posts are added automatically between terminals based on template spacing.
Select a terminal post to open the Terminal Post panel:
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Existing Post | Mark a post that stays in place |
| Diameter | Chain link terminal sizing when applicable |
Dragging a corner node moves connected straight sections.
Add a gate
- Pick a gate type in Drawing Tools (Single Swing, Double Swing, Roll, Cantilever, and others from template), or Add Gate → Select Gate Type
- Click a valid placement:
- Terminal post of the same fence style
- Fence line near a terminal
- Curve endpoint only
- Toast: Gate has been added! Tool resets to Select
