Overview
Use the Fence panel drawing tools to place runs and read lengths. Terminal posts mark ends and corners; line posts fill spacing automatically from your fence template.

Drawing tools

Activate a fence style in the Fence panel (Active badge) before drawing.
Straight sections
- Select Draw Fence Section
- First click places a terminal post
- Each additional click adds a section and shared corner posts where runs meet
- Switch to Select (V) or Escape when finished
Select a section to edit Length in the upper toolbar and click Apply.
Tips:
- Sections snap near horizontal and vertical for clean property-line layouts
- After drawing, the length field is active: type an exact length and press Enter
Curved sections
- Select Draw Curved Fence
- Click start point, then waypoints to shape the arc
- Double-click to finish
- Ctrl+Z removes the last waypoint; Escape cancels
Gates on curves: only at endpoints.
Measurements panel
Fence tab → Measurements:

Use Add New Fence Style or Used Templates with Activate / Swap when the job mixes heights, colors, or fence types on one canvas.
