Overview
After you create an estimate, proposal steps (the finalize flow) build the customer-facing package. A step bar at the top links each screen. Click any step icon to jump between sections.
Where in the app: Open an estimate → any proposal step (for example /quotes/{id}/proposal-template)

Step order
| Step | Label | Purpose |

| 1 | Summary | Quote metadata, customer, project description, Edit Drawing (fence) |
| 2 | Materials | Material and product line items, optional items, scope toggle |
| 3 | Labor | Labor rates and hours (materials + installation only) |
| 4 | Expenses | Other job costs (materials + installation only) |
| 5 | Totals | Subtotal, tax, deposit, grand total |
| 6 | Documents | Cover page, terms, shop drawings, attachments |
| 7 | Submit | Recipients, email, send or mark submitted |
Materials-only quotes
When scope is materials only (no installation), Labor and Expenses steps are disabled. Tooltip: Not applicable for Materials Only. Switch to Materials + Installation on the Materials step to enable them.
Navigation
- Use Next and Back on each page, or click step icons in the bar
- Changes save as you move; review Totals before Submit
- Fence estimates: return to the design tool from Summary via Edit Drawing
