Overview
Documents prepares the customer package: how long the quote stays valid, cover letter, terms and conditions, optional shop drawings, uploaded files, and internal notes that stay off the customer PDF.
Where in the app: Open an estimate → Documents (proposal step bar)
Open: Estimates
Quote details
Set Quote valid for (days). That validity appears on the proposal.
Cover letter and terms
Edit Cover Letter to Client and Terms and Conditions. New estimates often start from Business Settings defaults; change them here for this quote only.
Shop drawings
When shop drawings are enabled for your account:
- Add shop drawings and attach them to the estimate
- Edit, download PDF, or share with the customer
Some fence templates may auto-attach related drawings. See Shop drawings overview.
Uploads and internal notes
Under Documents, upload supporting files (limits apply, commonly up to 5 files and 10MB each). Toggle Share with customer when the file should appear for the client.
Internal Notes are for your team only and are not included in the customer-facing package.
