Overview
Materials is where you review and edit the estimate’s components: quantities, costs, vendors, and part numbers. You also choose Materials Only or Materials and Installation, which controls whether Labor and Expenses apply.
Where in the app: Open an estimate → Materials (proposal step bar)

Tooltip on locked steps: Not applicable for Materials Only. Switch to Materials + Installation to edit.
Line items
The Components table includes quantity, unit, name, vendor, color, part number, weight, cost, and totals.
Row colors call out special states:

Use Add Item for manual lines. Print exports a material list PDF (save row edits first if Print is blocked).
Catalog and counter sale
- Save for Future: push selected component changes into your catalog (confirm when prompted)
- Counter Sale: create an Invoice or Sales Receipt from the material list
