Overview
Sync your fence business accounting by connecting QuickBooks Online (QBO). Dirt Face does not support QuickBooks Desktop.
Where in the app: Sidebar → Business Settings → Integrations → QuickBooks
Open: QuickBooks integration
Before you begin
- An active QuickBooks Online subscription (not Desktop)
- Admin access to your Dirt Face account
- A Growth plan or higher (QuickBooks integration requires Growth+)
Step 1: Open Integrations
- Go to Business Settings
- Select the Integrations tab
- Click QuickBooks
Step 2: Connect your QuickBooks company
- Click Connect to QuickBooks
- Sign in to Intuit and authorize Dirt Face
- Select the QBO company file to sync
Important: Only one QBO company can be linked per Dirt Face tenant at a time.
Step 3: Configure sync options
After connecting, choose what to sync:
- Customers — push new Dirt Face customers to QBO
- Invoices — sync invoices when you mark them sent in Dirt Face
- Payments — record payments applied in either system
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Connection expired | Re-authorize from Integrations → QuickBooks → Reconnect |
| Duplicate customers | Use Match existing when prompted during first sync |
| Invoice not appearing | Confirm invoice status is Sent and sync is enabled |
Warning: If you disconnect QuickBooks, previously synced records remain in both systems but new changes will not sync until you reconnect.
