Overview
Control how Dirt Face numbers new documents. Each type has a prefix, starting number, and increment with a live preview.
Where in the app: Business Settings → Default Values → Document Numbers

Document types

Changing numbers
- Starting number — next document uses this value if higher than any existing number
- Increment — step between documents (usually 1)
- Prefix — text before the number (e.g.
Est-1042)
Validation runs on save. Changes apply to new documents only — existing quote and invoice numbers are not rewritten.
Click Save Changes after editing.
