Create customer records from the Customers page or inline when building quotes, RFQs, jobs, and invoices.

Overview

Add a customer when you have a new contact to track in Dirt Face. The same form appears on the dedicated Add Customer page and in the Create a New Customer modal from estimates, RFQs, jobs, and invoices.

Where in the app: Sidebar → Customers → Add Customer
Open: Add Customer

Also: Create menu → Customer, or Select or Add New Customer during document creation.

Address Details

  1. Choose address type: Shipping or Job Site for the primary map address.
  2. Search and select the address on the map (Google Places).
  3. Optionally check Use a separate address for billing and enter a billing address.

On save, addresses attach to the customer record. Add Job Site or Billing addresses later on the Customer info tab.


Notes

Optional free-text notes on the add form. For follow-up calls and meetings after the customer exists, use the Activities tab.


Tax Settings

Tax exempt settings apply to new quotes and invoices. You are responsible for correct tax classification.


Save or cancel

  • Cancel returns to the previous screen without saving.
  • Save Customer creates the record and opens the customer list or returns to the document you started from.

Duplicate names are allowed; use company name and email to distinguish similar contacts.
