Overview
Component Pricing controls how component line prices are calculated when you add items from your component catalog. This applies to the current invoice or sales receipt, not your global catalog retail prices.

Markup over cost
Turn on Apply markup over cost to price components as cost × (1 + markup%). When off, new component lines use each item's catalog retail price.
Markup %
Set the percentage for this document. Changing it updates unit prices on component lines that are not individually overridden. Your business default (in Settings → Default Values) pre-fills this field when you start a new document.
Per-line overrides
Open any line's edit modal to set a custom markup % or price. Overridden lines keep their values when you change the sidebar markup. Use Reset to global in the modal to follow the sidebar again.
