Overview

The Dirt Face Shop Drawing Designer is the full-screen editor for technical fence install drawings. Use it to draw elevations, component details, section views, dimensions, and callouts that show how the fence is built. It is separate from the bird's-eye fence layout tool used for takeoffs on estimates.

What you will get

  • Clear elevations and detail graphics for customers, GCs, and crews
  • Drawings you can attach to the same estimate that carries pricing
  • A cleaner handoff from sales to shop and field

Step 1: Open the Shop Drawing Designer

Start from Shop Drawings in Dirt Face, or from an estimate when you are adding drawings to the proposal. Create a new drawing when you need a fresh sheet, or open an existing library drawing to edit.

Step 2: Draw the technical detail

Use the designer canvas for the graphic content: elevations, gate details, sections, dimensions, and notes. Focus on what the installer or approver must see to build the fence correctly.

Step 3: Finish the printable sheet

After the graphic is ready, complete title block, specifications, and company information on the shop drawing sheet, then export or attach a PDF.

Step 4: Share with the estimate or job

Attach the drawing to the proposal so pricing and technical detail travel together, or keep it with the job for production and field reference.
