Project Media: Field Photos and Documents in Dirt Face

How Dirt Face Project Media stores job photos and documents and shares them with the office, crew, and customer portal.

4 min read

Overview

Project Media is where Dirt Face stores job-site photos and documents. Crews capture in the field. Customers upload from the portal or messages. The office decides what the crew sees and what the customer sees.

You do not need a separate job-photo app for most fence workflows.

Step 1: Collect photos and files

Office uploads on the job. Crews take photos from the field job. Customers reply with photos in the portal or by message. Items land on the job or in a customer inbox until you assign them.

Step 2: Choose who can see each item

Each item has two flags:

  • Shared with ops: field and office on the job
  • Shared with customer: Photos and Documents in the customer portal

Internal files stay internal until you share them.

Step 3: Use them on the job and in the portal

Crews see ops-shared photos on the field job. Customers see only what you marked shared with customer. The office keeps one album per job instead of a text thread and a folder on a phone.

Who this is for

  • Sales teams asking for site photos before a quote
  • Crews documenting install progress
  • Office teams sending a photo report with the customer
