Overview
Dirt Face inventory tracks materials on hand, purchase orders, and reservations. The same stock feeds jobs, shop fabrication, and the wholesale store. It is the materials layer, not a separate product.
Inventory is on the Crew plan and above.
Step 1: Stock the catalog
Parts live in your fence catalog. Inventory adds on-hand counts, reorder points, warehouses, and units of measure.
Step 2: Buy and receive
Create purchase orders to vendors. Receive stock into a warehouse. Landed costs and barcodes are available when you need them.
Step 3: Allocate to work
Jobs reserve materials from the estimate. Shop fabrication reserves leaf BOM parts. Wholesale and POS orders fulfill from the same on-hand.
What this solves
- Over-ordering because nobody knew what was in the yard
- Shop builds that start without sticks or hardware
- Dealer orders that promise stock you already sold to a job
FAQ
Do I need inventory to estimate?
No. Solo estimating works without stock tracking. Add inventory when you buy, fabricate, or sell wholesale.
Is inventory a separate Dirt Face product?
No. It is a platform module that manufacturing and the wholesale store share.
