Overview
Crews are teams of installers shown as lanes on the Schedule calendar. You create and manage crews in Business Settings, then assign them to jobs on the Schedule page.
Create crews: Business Settings → Manage Team → Crews
Assign on calendar: Schedule
Step 1: Create team members (if needed)
Crew members must exist as users before you add them to a crew.
- Business Settings → Manage Team (Members subtab)
- Add Team Member
- Assign Crew role (or role with Crew Portal access)
- Activate the user within your crew seat limits
See Team members.
Step 2: Create a crew
- Open Business Settings → Manage Team
- Switch to the Crews subtab
- Click Create Crew
- Fill in:
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name | e.g. "Install Crew A" |
| Color | Calendar block color |
| Members | Installers on this crew |
| Status | Available or Unavailable |
| Location | Company profile (multi-location) |
- Save

Step 3: Assign a crew to a job
On Schedule:
| Method | Steps |
|---|---|
| Drag and drop | Drag a job from the unscheduled sidebar onto a crew lane and time |
| Schedule Crew button | Schedule Crew → Schedule Job → pick job and crew |
| From jobs list | Jobs → row Schedule → opens Schedule for that job |
The scheduling modal pre-selects the crew when you drop onto a specific lane.
One crew per day (multi-day jobs)
Long installs can span multiple days. Each day can assign a different crew — useful when a specialized crew handles gates on day two.
Configure days in the unified scheduling modal.
No crews warning
If zero crews exist, Schedule shows No Crews Set Up when you click Schedule Crew. Use Go to Settings to jump directly to the Crews tab.
Crew Portal visibility
Crew members only see schedule events for their assigned crew. Assign on the calendar before they open the Crew Portal.
Quick edit from calendar
Click a crew label on the calendar to edit name, members, or color in place. Changes refresh events immediately.
