Overview
Barcode scanning speeds up PO receiving, SO picking, cycle counts, and stock lookups.
Where in the app: Inventory → Settings → Barcode Scanning
Open: Inventory Settings
Enable module
Toggle Barcode Scanning Module on. When enabled:
- Scan mode on PO receive and SO fulfill
- Barcode quick search floating action app-wide
- Print labels from stock levels
Configuration
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Barcode prefix | Auto-generated codes (e.g. DF-000001) |
| Default label size | 2×1, 3×1, or 4×2 for label printer |
| Over-receiving policy | Allow / Warn / Block qty above PO line |
| Over-picking policy | Allow / Warn / Block qty above SO line |
Click Save Settings after changes. Use Test Scanner to verify hardware scanner or camera input.
