Overview
Convert to Estimate copies customer, jobsite, and project details from an opportunity into a new fence quote. After you confirm project fields, Continue opens the fence designer to draw the layout and build the estimate.
The opportunity status changes to Converted when the quote is created.
Where in the app: Opportunities list or detail → Convert to Quote
Open: Opportunities (then Convert to Quote on a row)
Convert page URL: /rfqs/{opportunityId}/convert-rfq.
Open the convert flow
Any of these paths start conversion:

Review the linked customer. Use change customer if the wrong person was attached (same pattern as new estimate).

Explains that Continue moves you to the fence designer to draw the layout and build your estimate.
Continue to the designer
- Confirm project name and jobsite.
- Click Continue.
Dirt Face:
- Creates a new quote linked to the opportunity (
rfqId) - Sets opportunity status to Converted
- Copies uploaded documents from the opportunity when present
- Routes to fence type selection and the designer
Lead Generator opportunities may open the drawing tool directly when design data already exists on the record.
After conversion
- The quote appears on the customer Documents tab and the opportunity Related tab.
- Convert to Quote is hidden on the opportunity detail header.
- Continue with Create an estimate and Fence job lifecycle.
