Overview

Cost Update History is an audit log of every Cost Update Wizard run. Use it to confirm when a percentage change was applied, which vendor and filters were used, and which team member ran the update.

This log covers wizard runs only. CSV vendor cost imports appear in Vendor Cost Import History.

Where in the app: Sidebar → Fence → Vendor Management → Cost Update Wizard → Cost Update History
Open: Cost Update History

You can also open it from the Cost Update Wizard header.

What each log entry shows

Typical fields on a history row:

FieldMeaning
Date / timeWhen Execute Update finished
UserTeam member who ran the wizard
VendorSupplier whose component costs were changed
PercentageIncrease or decrease applied
Component countHow many parts were updated
FiltersFence type, category, or collections used to narrow the run

Expand or open a row (when available) for more detail on scope.

Filter the log

  1. Set Start Date and End Date to limit the range.
  2. Use Search to match vendor name or user name.
  3. Results refresh automatically when filters change.

The page loads the most recent runs first (up to 100 entries per load).

When to use this page

  • A quote looks wrong after a price change: confirm the wizard ran on the expected vendor and date.
  • Multiple team members update costs: see who applied the last change.
  • Audit before reordering: verify a blanket increase was recorded.

Wizard updates cannot be undone from this screen. To reverse a mistake, run the wizard again with the opposite percentage or restore costs with Import Vendor Costs (CSV).
