Overview
Product Vendors maps master-catalog products to preferred suppliers when you import shared Dirt Face content (warehouse components or fence templates). It is a step in those import wizards — not a standalone screen in My Components today.
For day-to-day vendor management on your catalog, use Vendor Management and the Vendor Assignment Tool.
When you see Product Vendors
The Import Vendor Preferences dialog appears during:
| Import | Open |
|---|---|
| Dirt Face Warehouse components | Import Components |
| Import Fence Templates | Import Fence Templates |
After you pick templates or collections to import, Dirt Face lists vendors referenced in the master catalog. Select which of your vendor records should receive those parts and costs.
How to use the dialog
- Review vendors detected on the import package
- Check the vendors you want to link for this import
- Continue — Dirt Face assigns those vendors to imported components or template lines
Imported parts keep working even if you skip a vendor — you can assign vendors later in My Components.
After import — ongoing vendor work
| Need | Tool |
|---|---|
| Change default vendor on many parts | Vendor Assignment Tool |
| Add or edit supplier records | Add and manage vendors |
